DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION THE PROPOSED TRANSFER OF

L i H i- THE STATE OF IOWA TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, WITH
oc THE DELETION OF ANY MENTION TO THE FEREDAY CURVE.

I-1r-, WHEREAS, the State of Iowa has proposed the transfer of
jurisdiction of Iowa Highway 57 (Broadway Street) to the City of
Waterloo, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends that Iowa Highway 57 be
cA reconstructed to an acceptable standard and improvements be made
to traffic signals prior to City accepting jurisdiction of Iowa
Highway 57.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that staff be directed to negotiate with
the Department of Transportation the proposed transfer of
jurisdiction of Iowa Highway 57 (Broadway Street) from the State
of Iowa to the City of Waterloo, Iowa with the deletion of any
mention to the Fereday curve.
