RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, AS THE WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY, AUTHORIZING THE
H H CO ~ r DISPOSAL OF USED REFRIGERATORS FROM THE RIDGEWAY TOWERS,
IA050003 , PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECT.

WHEREAS, the disposition policy of Ridgeway Towers Project
requires approval by the Housing Board before a donation can be
made of items with any value to a charitable agency;

WHEREAS, the Ridgeway Towers Project is a low income public
{ housing project to benefit low income persons and the 13 year old
refrigerators have already served their useful life at the
project;
WHEREAS, there is a need for used appliances by low income
families in the Waterloo community as demonstrated by a waiting
list at Salvation Army.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa that donation of used refrigerators 13 years old or
older be made, as long as it is economically feasible for the
project, to a charitable organization serving Waterloo selected by
the Executive Director for distribution to needy Waterloo families
be approved.
