HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-277-06.12.1989 rT H 0 ^J ^J H RESOLUTION NO. 1989-277 ri i H U - RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COMPROMISE OF TAXES FOR 732 s s QUINCY STREET, 252 JACKSON STREET AND 2260 ASHLAND M AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, 0 CP E+ tr IOWA. • H L F�1 c 3 , WHEREAS, Joe and Georgia Harris, 732 Quincy Street, petition the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to accept the 9 offer of $1,407 . 79 as a compromise on taxes owed for the years 1984-1985, 1985-1986 and 1986-1987 in the amount of $1 , 511. 35 for parcel number 92-0144-00-058-00-0 and legally described as follows : Rose Hill Replat Waterloo, Lot 9, Block 4, or also known as 732 Quincy Street; and, H f WHEREAS, Nola Berdell, 252 Jackson Street, petitions the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to accept the offer of $86 . 87 as a compromise on taxes owed for the years 1985-1986 , 1986-1987 and 1987-1988 in the amount of $1 , 342. 28 for parcel number 92-0087-00-080-00-0 and legally described as: Howrey and McWilliams Addition, Waterloo, Lot 8 , Block 8; or also known as 252 Jackson Street, Waterloo, Iowa; and WHEREAS, William Smith, Jr. , 2260 Ashland Avenue, petitions the City Council of the City of Waterloo to accept the offer of $54 . 51 as a compromise on taxes owed for the years 1985-1986 , 1986-1987 , 1987-1988 in the amount of $4 , 325 . 56 for parcel number 92-0063-01-013-00-0 and legally described as: Cushman Heights, Waterloo, Lot 8 except the West 3 . 8 acres or also known as 2260 Ashland Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa; and WHEREAS, Section 446. 31, Code of Iowa, authorizes the compromise of taxes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the above compromise on taxes, as authorized in Section 446 . 31, Code of Iowa, be and the same hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk/Auditor be instructed to transmit a copy of said Resolution to the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors.
