RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF HOUSES
LOCATED AT 4040 SAGER AVENUE, 4030 SAGER AVENUE, 4022
SAGER AVENUE, 4012 SAGER AVENUE, 4004 SAGER AVENUE, 3950
SAGER AVENUE AND 3856-3860 SAGER AVENUE AND GARAGE
STRUCTURES LOCATED AT 4030 SAGER AVENUE, 4004 SAGER
AVENUE AND 3950 SAGER AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE
PLANNING, PROGRAMMING STAFF TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER BILLS
OF SALE FOR SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of houses
located at 4040 Sager Avenue, 4030 Sager Avenue, 4022 Sager
Avenue, 4012 Sager Avenue, 4004 Sager Avenue, 3950 Sager Avenue
and 3856-3860 Sager Avenue, and garage structures located at 4030
Sager Avenue, 4004 Sager Avenue and 3950 Sager Avenue, in the City
of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, intends to sell and
convey said structures and cause them to be removed from the site
in accordance with the guidelines and stipulations set forth in
the bid proposal form; and
WHEREAS, offers to purchase in compliance with said
guidelines and stipulations have been made by the bidders
indicated below; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 19 , 1989, at 7 : 00
p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to
accept bids for said structures and to sell and convey said
structures owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to the successful
bidders below; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and
conveyance be made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows:
1. The following described structures as described in the
published notice in the Waterloo Courier on June 13 , 1989 are not
presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future
for municipal purposes and their ownership is serving no municipal
purpose; and
2. That the offer of Alfred J. Herbsleb to purchase the
house located at 4040 Sager Avenue for the sum of $425. 00 be, and
it is hereby accepted for the house described below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-47 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
3 . That no bid was received for the house located at 4030
Sager Avenue, legally described below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-46 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
4 . That the offer of Darwin E. and Shirley M. Beckman to
purchase the house located at 4022 Sager Avenue for the sum of
$500 . 00 be, and it is hereby accepted for the house described
below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-45 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.

5. F-, That the offer of Don and Mary Beine to purchase the
house located at 4012 Sager Avenue for the sum of $14, 500. 00 be,
and it is hereby accepted for the house described below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-44 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in

T 6. That the offer of Elton H. & Shirley Schutte to purchase
the house located at 4004 Sager Avenue for the sum of $700 . 00 be,
and it is hereby accepted for the house described below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-43 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
7. That the offer of Russell A. Miller to purchase the
house located at 3950 Sager Avenue for the sum of $2 , 000 . 00 be,
and it is hereby accepted for the house described below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-42 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
8 . That the offer of Kelsey and Rebecca Ames to purchase
the duplex located at 3856-3860 Sager Avenue for the sum of
$3 , 000 . 00 be, and it is hereby accepted for the duplex described
below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-36 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
9. That the offer of Shelly L. Routt to purchase the garage
located at 4030 Sager Avenue for the sum of $100. 00 be, and it is
hereby accepted for the garage described below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-46 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
10. That the offer of Don DeBerg to purchase the garage
located at 4004 Sager Avenue for the sum of $700 . 00 be, and it is
hereby accepted for the garage described below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-43 in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
11 . That the offer of Craig L. and Colleen R. Poyner to
purchase the garage located at 3950 Sager Avenue for the sum of
$850 . 00 be, and it is hereby accepted for the garage described
below:
Cedarloo Park, Lot W-42 , in Black Hawk County, Iowa, now in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
12. That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said structures
by Bill of Sale.
13 . That the Planning, Programming and Zoning staff is
authorized and directed to deliver said Bills of Sale to said
purchasers upon receipt of the full sum of their bids.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of June, 1989.
