RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF THE BUILDING MORATORIUM
ON RELOCATED HIGHWAY 218 CORRIDOR FOR GOODYEAR STORE,
515 WEST FIFTH STREET, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK
HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, Goodyear Store, 515 West Fifth Street, has
requested a waiver of the building moratorium of Relocated
Highway 218 Corridor to construct exterior improvements to
existing building; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 17 , 1989, at
7: 00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
on the request to approve the above mentioned request; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said waiver
of moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor be approved as
requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the waiver to the moratorium on
Relocated Highway 218 Corridor, 515 West Fifth Street, to
construct exterior improvements to existing building, be and the
same is hereby approved, subject to 1 ) placement of a 5 foot
green area around the perimeter of the property or decorative
brick at least 32 inches high, 2 ) a tree every 40 feet for a
total of approximately 8 trees, and 3 ) placement of a canopy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Deputy City Clerk is
authorized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution to
the Black Hawk County Recorder for recording in order that this
said action may become a matter of official County Record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of July, 1989.

shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of
Waterloo. Iowa, at 7: 00 p.m. on the 7th day of August, 1989 ,
for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed plans,
__ specifications , form of contract and estimate of cost for the
Greenhill Road Pedestrian/Bikeway Facility, IX-6585( 9) --79-07 ,
