ii RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 3 TON TRUCK EMBARGO ON BRIDGE
o c, -, LOCATED ON WEST SHAULIS ROAD BETWEEN U.S. HIGHWAY 63 AND
THE WEST CORPORATE LIMITS.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has

adopted an Ordinance allowing temporary closing or restricting the
weight limit on sections of a street by Council Resolution when
reasonably necessary because of safety, known as Section 571,
Embargos, of Ordinance No. 3264 , as amended, Traffic Ordinance,

and
WHEREAS, a 3 ton truck embargo on the bridge located on West
Shaulis Road between U.S. Highway 63 and the west corporate limits
is necessary due to unsafe conditions of said bridge.
-� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a variance to Section 571, Embargos,
M of Ordinance No. 3264 , as amended, Traffic Ordinance, be approved
authorizing a 3 ton truck embargo on the bridge located on West
Shaulis Road between U.S. Highway 63 and the west corporate
limits due to unsafe conditions of said bridge.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Sign and Traffic Department
is hereby instructed to erect the 3 ton truck weight limit signs on
r the bridge located on West Shaulis Road between U.S. Highway 63
H and the west corporate limits.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of July, 1989 .
