HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-343-07.11.1989 RESOLUTION NO. 1989-343 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR TED WINNINGER FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH HALF OF THE BLOCK BOUNDED BY ANSBOROUGH, DOWNING, DUNDEE AND UNIVERSITY AVENUES. WHEREAS, Ted Winninger has proposed that the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan amendment for property located on the south half of the block bounded by Ansborough, Downing, Dundee and University Avenues to allow the west portion of said south half of the block to be commercially developed and the east portion of said south half of the block to be developed for residential use, subject to access from Downing Avenue by way of the alley and not the proposed curb cut, and legally described as follows: Lots 8 , 9 , 10, 11 , 12, 13 , 14 , 15 and south 30 feet of Lot 16 of Block 25 , Hagerman Place, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 11 , 1989 , at 7 : 00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site plan amendment should be approved as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the site plan amendment for property located on the south half of the block bounded by Ansborough, Downing, Dundee and University Avenues to allow the west portion of said south half of the block to be commercially developed and the east portion of said south half of the block to be developed for residential use, subject to access from Downing Avenue by way of the alley and not the proposed curb cut, be and the same is hereby approved. The meeting was called to order and there were present Bernie McKinley, Mayor, and the following named Councilmembers: Brown, Dell, Buck, Fox and Angel Absent: Budak and Wright * * * * * * * * The City Council investigated and found that notice of intention to issue Wheaton Franciscan Services, Inc. System Revenue Bonds, Series 1989 (Covenant Medical Center, Incorporat- ed) of said City in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $27, 000, 000 has been duly given by publication on June 21 , 1989, in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier, a legal newspaper published and having a general circulation within said City. This being the time and place specified in said notice for the conduct of a public hearing on the proposal to issue said bonds, the Mayor announced that any local resident attending the hearing would now be given an opportunity to express his or her views for or against the proposal to issue the bonds. After all local residents who appeared at the hearing who desired to do so had expressed their views for or against the proposal to issue the bonds, the public hearing was declared closed and Councilmember
