• `-1 1 RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF THE BUILDING MORATORIUM
• ON RELOCATED HIGHWAY 218 CORRIDOR FOR RYDER TRUCK STOP,
LAPORTE ROAD AND LOCKE AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA.

: WHEREAS, Ryder Truck Stop, Laporte Road and Locke Avenue,
has requested a waiver of the building moratorium on Relocated
Highway 218 Corridor to
purchase vacated Easton Avenue east of
U.S. 218 and to construct a truck stop, and;
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 21, 1989, at
7 : 00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
mrEtcprovided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the request to approve the above mentioned request; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said waiver
of building moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor be
approved, as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the waiver to the building
moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor, for
Ryder Truck Stop, LaPorte Road and Locke Avenue, to purchase
vacated Easton Avenue east of U.S. 218 and to construct a truck
stop, be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Black Hawk
County Recorder for recording in order that this said action may
become a matter of official County Record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of August, 1989.
