RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SITE PLAN FOR WAL-MART STORE
TO BE LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF FLAMMANG DRIVE AND
ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF ALEXANDRA DRIVE.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan for Wal-Mart Store to be
located on the south side of Flammang Drive and along the east
side of Alexandra Drive, and legally described as follows:
Lot 1, Crossroads Plat No. 3 , Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 28, 1989, at
7 : 00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the site plan for Wal-Mart Store to
be located on the south side of Flammang Drive and along the east
side of Alexandra Drive, be and the same is hereby approved,
subject to the following:
1. Wal-Mart agrees to placement of no right turn sign al:
drive on Alexandra between 10 : 00 a.m. and 8: 00 p.m. and
to placement of no left turn sign at Alexandra Drive
and Flammang Drive between 10 : 00 a.m. and 8 : 00 p.m.
daily.
2 . In the future, if Wal-Mart determines that a traffic
congestion problem exists, they will, at their own
expense, provide the necessary improvements.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of August, 1989, and
approved by the Mayor this 30th day of August, 1989.
