RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING TO BE
GIVEN ON REQUEST OF COMFORT INN, FOR A WAIVER OF THE
BUILDING MORATORIUM ON RELOCATED U.S. 218 CORRIDOR AS
SEPTEMBER 11, 1989, AT 7: 00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 7: 00 p.m. on the llth day of September, 1989,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon the request of
Comfort Inn, for a waiver of the building moratorium on Relocated
U.S. 218 Corridor to construct a fifty-six ( 56 ) unit hotel
adjacent to Burger King at the intersection of LaPorte Road and
San Marnan Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of August, 1989.
