RESOLUTION NO. 1989-490
RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF THE BUILDING MORATORIUM
ON RELOCATED HIGHWAY 218 CORRIDOR FOR COMFORT INN, IN
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
WHEREAS, Comfort Inn, has requested a waiver of the building
moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor to construct a
fifty-six ( 56) unit hotel adjacent to Burger King at the
intersection of LaPorte Road and San Marnan Drive, legally
described as follows:

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 11, 1989, at
7 : 00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the request to approve the above mentioned request; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said waiver
of building moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor be
approved, as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the waiver to the building
moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor, for
Comfort Inn, to construct a fifty-six ( 56) unit hotel adjacent to
Burger King at the intersection of LaPorte Road and San Marnan
Drive, be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Black Hawk
County Recorder for recording in order that this said action may
become a matter of official County Record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this llth day of September, 1989.
