RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION
CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND
ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described
parcels is necessary to carry out the Sixth Street Extension,
IX-6604 ( 1 ) --79-07.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels
hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in
behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to
consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the
owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are
also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed
to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary
to the consummation of the sales from City funds.
The subject parcels are:
Parcel No. 526 - Robert & Helen Mason
526 E. 5th Street
Total Acquisition
Lot No. Two ( 2) , in Block No. Fifty-nine ( 59) in Cooley
Addition to Waterloo, Iowa, except the Southeasterly Fifty
( 50 ) feet in even width thereof , subject to easement of
record.
Containing approximately 6,000 Square Feet
Parcel No. 729 - Florence Gibson
729 Wellington Street
Total Acquisition
The Southeasterly Thirty ( 30) Feet of the Southwesterly
Sixty-Nine ( 69) Feet of Lot No. Ten ( 10) , in Block No.
Eighteen ( 18) , in Doe' s Addition to the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa.
Containing approximately 2, 070 S.F.
Parcel No. 408 - Rick D. Dralle
408 Bayard Street
Total Acquisition
Lots One ( 1) and Two ( 2) and a Part of Lot No. Four ( 4 ) ,
Douglass Place, Waterloo, Iowa, described as follows:
Commencing at a point of the West Line of said Lot No. Four
( 4 ) that is Sixty-Three and Six Hundredths ( 63 . 06 ) Feet
North of the South Corner of said Lot. No. Four ( 4) running
thence East at Right Angles with the West Line of said Lot
No. Four ( 4) to the Southerly Line of Lot No. Two ( 2 ) in
said addition extended Westerly; thence Easterly along the
Westerly extension of the Southerly Line of said Lot No. Two
( 2) to the Northeasterly Line of said Lot No. Four ( 4) ;
thence Northwesterly along the Northeasterly Line of said

Total Acquisition
Lot No. Nine ( 9) in Block No. Two (2) , Woodbine Addition to
Waterloo, Iowa, excepting that part thereof described as
follows:
Commencing at Southeast (SE) corner of said Lot running
thence North along the West Line of Bayard Street a distance
of Forty ( 40) Feet; thence at right angles West to the
Southeasterly Line of Lot No. Eight ( 8) in said Block No.
Two ( 2) ; thence Southwesterly along Southeasterly line of
said Lot No. Eight ( 8) to the most southerly corner of said
Lot Eight ( 8) ; thence South along West Line of said Lot Nine
( 9) a distance of Twenty-One and Three Tenths ( 21. 3 ) Feet to
Southwest corner of said Lot No. Nine (9) ; thence East along
South Line of said Lot No. Nine ( 9) a distance of One
Hundred Twenty-Five ( 125) Feet to the point of beginning;
