RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDED SITE PLAN FOR
FLOWERAMA STORE TO BE LOCATED IN THE KIMBALL RIDGE
SHOPPING CENTER-
,
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve an amended site plan for Flowerama
Store to be located in the Kimball Ridge Shopping Center, located
at the northwest corner of Kimball Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue, to
build an additional 1 , 835 square foot building 30 feet from the
- Kimball Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue rights-of-way, elimination of
some of the existing parking spaces and adding an additional post
sign to the overall shopping center site.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 28, 1989, at
7 : 00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the above mentioned amended site plan, and said. amended site plan
was referred back to the Planning, Programming and Zoning
Commission, and
WHEREAS, said amended site plan was referred to the
Planning, Programming and Zoning Commission and subsequently
recommended for approval, and

WHEREAS, said amended site plan was brought back to the
City Council on September 18, 1989 for approval and was denied,

WHEREAS, the Council discussed said amended site plan in
Executive Session on October 23 , 1989, and in Open Session
referred further action to the Council meeting of November 6,
1989,
WHEREAS, said above mentioned amended site plan was
reconsidered by the Council on November 6 , 1989, and it is the
opinion of this Council that said site plan should be approved as
proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the amended site plan for Flowerama
Store to be located in the Kimball Ridge Shopping Center, located
at the northwest corner of Kimball Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue, to
build an additional 1,835 square foot building 30 feet from the
Kimball Avenue and Ridgeway Avenue rights-of-way, elimination of
some of the existing parking spaces and adding an additional post
sign to the overall shopping center site, be and the same is
hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 1989, and
approved by the Mayor this 8th day of November, 1989.
