H RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIELD REVIEW AND SPEED STUDY

', r6t HIGHWAY AND AIRPORT BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
that the field review and speed study of the intersection of West
Airline Highway and Airport Boulevard and the following

ecommendations be approved:

1. Install advance stop sign warning signs on both
northbound and southbound approaches.
2. Install 48" x 48" stop signs on both northbound and

n _ 3 . Adequately paint pavement markings and clearly define
lane configurations.

i-1 4. Install intersection ahead warning signs on both
eastbound and westbound approaches.
co 5. Provided traffic volumes increase and the above items
3 tr' do not correct the high accidents that are presently
occurring, a signal warrant analysis be implemented.

6. The speed limit be reduced from 55 mph on West Airline
