HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-590-11.06.1989 . _ RESOLUTION NO. 1989-590 . - RESOLUTION ACCEK-NG AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION CONTRACT TO SE: REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEED. - - WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcel described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcel is necessary to carry out the F.Y. 1990 Intercity Interceptor, Stage, VII , West Fifth to Pumping Station, Contract . No. 377. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE _ CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcel - hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which is situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, is accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the property from the owners thereof, and the deed for the conveyance of the same is also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the property and the incidental expenses necessary to the : consummation of the sales from City funds. The subject parcel is: Parcel No. 1 Depot Restoration, Bluff Street Permanent Easement - $2 , 430. 00 All that part of vacated Bluff Street adjacent to Block 17, in the Original Plat of the City of Waterloo, west side of the Cedar River, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the Southwesterly extension of the Southeasterly line of Lot 10 in said Block 17, which point is 5 . 0 feet Southwest of the Southeast corner of said. Block 17; thence Southwest along the extension of the Southeasterly line of said Lot 10 a distance of 15. 0 feet; thence Northwest parallel with the Southwesterly line of said Block 17, a distance of 100. 0 feet; thence Southeasterly to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
