RESOLUTION NO. 1989-611
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING TO BE
GIVEN ON REQUEST OF COMFORT INN, FOR A WAIVER OF THE
BUILDING MORATORIUM ON RELOCATED U.S. 218 CORRIDOR AS
DECEMBER 4, 1989, AT 7: 00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the: Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterlda, Iowa, at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 4th day of December, 1989,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon the request of
Comfort Inn, for a waiver of the building moratorium on Relocated
U. S. 218 Corridor to place a 8 ' x 24 ' post sign with height not
to exceed 40 ' and an entrance sign not to exceed 6 ' x 27 ' on a 2 '
raised grade on property located on LaPorte Road., legally
described as follows:
Unpiatted Waterloo West a part of Northeast Fractional 1/4
Section 2 Township 88 Range 13 described as commencing at a
point on East line Section 2 which is 500. 8 feet South of
Northeast corner said section; thence West along line
parallel with North line said section a distance of 1018. 31
feet to a point 60 feet normally distant Northeasterly from
center line LaPorte Road; thence South 35 Degrees 20 Minutes
30 Seconds East 419. 25 feet along line parallel with and 60
feet normally distant from center line LaPorte Road to point
of beginning; thence North 54 Degrees 39 Minutes 30 Seconds
East 392. 25 feet; thence South 38 Degrees East 132 . 13 feet;
thence South 54 degrees 39 Minutes 30 Seconds West 398. 38
feet to point 60 feet normally distant from center line
LaPorte Road; thence North 35 Degrees 20 Minutes 30 Seconds
West 132 feet to point, of beginning, all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
