HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-665-12.11.1989 RESOLUTION NO. 1989-665 RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED EAST OF GREENHILL ROAD AND WEST OF LETSCH ROAD AS JANUARY 8, 1990, AT 7: 00 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 7:00 p.m. on the 8th day of January, 1990, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and convey property generally located east of Greenhill Road and west of Letsch Road owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to the highest bidder, and legally described as follows: A part of Lot No. Thirty-two ( 32) in Auditor's Whitney Road Plat in Sections Sixteen ( 16) and Twenty-one ( 21) , Township Eight-nine (89) , Range Thirteen ( 13 ) West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Black Hawk County, Iowa, (Now in City of Waterloo, Iowa) described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of said Lot No. Thirty-two ( 32 ) that is Five Hundred Seventy-eight ( 578 ) feet West of the centerline of Letsch Road; Thence Easterly along the North line of said Lot No. Thirty-two ( 32) to the Northwest corner of Lot No. One ( 1) in Homestead Addition, Waterloo, Iowa; Thence Southwesterly along the West line of said Lot No. One (1) Two Hundred Seventy and Twenty-nine Hundredths ( 270. 29) feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot No. One (1) ; Thence North 88 degrees, 55 minutes, 40 seconds West Seventy and Five-Tenths ( 70. 5) feet; Thence South 00 degrees, 32 minutes, 00 seconds West Fifty-four ( 54. 0) feet; Thence Westerly along a line parallel with said North line of said Lot No. Thirty-two ( 32) Two Hundred Sixty-five ( 265. 0) feet; Thence Northeasterly along a line parallel with the West line of Homestead Addition Twelve and Five-tenths ( 12. 5) ; Thence East Twenty-five ( 25) feet; Thence Northeasterly to the point of beginning, with a minimum bid of $20,000 subject to the City' s retention of a permanent easement legally described as follows: A part of Lot No. 32 in Auditor Whitney Road Plat in Section 21 Township 89 Range 13 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north line of said Lot No. 32 that is 15 feet westerly of the northwest corner of Lot 1 Homestead Addition, thence easterly along said north line 15 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 1 Homestead Add. , thence southerly 270. 29 feet along the west line of said Lot 1, thence westerly 50 feet along the northernmost line of Tract A, Homestead Addition, thence northeasterly in a straight line to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
