a) WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is desirous to design and
T construct two skywalks in the downtown area linking the West
ro Side Parking Ramp to the Piper, Jaffrey & Hopwood property,

then onto the River Plaza Building, and
WHEREAS, funding assistance is available to cities
through the Iowa Department of Economic Development RC2000
Funding Account to provide financial assistance to cities,
and

WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is in need of such
assistance in order to construct the skywalks.
:7._; r.•J NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Mayor be
directed and authorized to submit an application for RC2000
Funding to the Iowa Department of Economic Development to
assist the project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of November, 1990.
