E-1 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CONCRETE

0 0 REPLACEMENT AND PATIO REPAIR AT FIVE SULLIVAN BROTHERS

CONVENTION CENTER.

• WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1990-642 , plans, specifications,
etci , for the Concrete Replacement and Patio Repair at Five
Sullivan Brothers Convention Center, in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, have been approved and adopted by this Council after the
hearing prescribed by statute.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that it is deemed advisable and necessary and it
is so: :;ordered on motion by this Council that the said
improvements be constructed in accordance with said plans ane
specifications.
That the work herein ordered is to be paid in montlY
estimates, in cash, on the basis of 90 percent of the work asche
same is completed and materials delivered and the work appr(Jed,
except that before the last month' s payment is made the
contractor may be required to furnish the City Council vc-che rs
showiftg - that all subcontractors and workmen and -ersons
furnishing materials have been fully paid for such materals and
labor,. and that the City may retain the last month' s paylent for
a per4od of 31 days following such completion and
ipproval,
unles satisfied that materials, men and laborers have
)een paid.
That said work shall be done by contract an-' shall be
commenced promptly after receipt of "Notice to Proceel" and shall
be completed within thirty ( 30 ) calendar days thereafter.
