ANY H WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 20, 1990, c at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, to accept bids and sell and convey the duplex located - at 1027-1029 Progress Avenue acquired by the City through the. Greenhill/Sager Project; and 1EAS, the offer of Lois Reiger to purchase the duplex located at 1027-1029 Progress Avenue for the sum of $10i6 0.00 was accepted per Resolution No. 1990-488 and staff was authorized and directed to deliver Bill of Sale to said purchaser upon receipt of the full sum of her bid; and WHEREAS, said offer to purchase said duplex by Lois Reiger has been withdrawn and bid bond forfeited; and L7 b t� WHEREAS, the next highest bidder was offered the right to buy said duplex but declined, and the only other bid received in the amount of $302. 00 is being rejected because the amount submitted is deemed well below fair market value. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the bid in the amount of $302.00 to purchase the duplex located at 1027-1029 Progress Avenue be rejected as being well below the fair market value. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that City staff is hereby directed to negotiate the sale of the structure located at 1027-1029 Progress Avenue to any interested parties.
