Roll Call.
The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session at Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, at 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Mayor Quentin Hart in
the Chair. Roll Call: Boesen, Nichols, Chiles, Grieder, Wilder and Feuss, joined the meeting.
Prayer or Moment of Silence
Pledge of Allegiance
Former State Representative, Ras Smith.
Approval of Agenda
Feuss/Grieder
that the agenda, as proposed, be approved. Voice vote -Ayes: Six. Motion Carried.
Swearing in of Belinda Creighton -Smith as Ward 4 Waterloo City Council member.
OTHER COUNCIL BUSINESS
Resolution approving appointment of William Beck to the position of Fire Chief of Waterloo Fire
Rescue, along with an employment agreement for the same, and authorizing the Mayor and
City Clerk to execute said document.
Feuss/Nichols
Voice vote -Ayes: Seven. Motion Carried. Resolution adopted and upon approval by Mayor
assigned No. 2023-152.
Swearing in of William Beck as Fire Chief.
