RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AND
NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE VACATION, SALE AND CONVEYANCE
OF A PORTION OF UNIMPROVED OGDEN AVENUE BETWEEN
DEARBORN AVENUE AND COTTAGE GROVE AVENUE AS AUGUST 13 ,
1990, AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS,
WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 7:00 p.m. on the 13th day of August, 1990, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate a
portion of unimproved Odgen Avenue between Dearborn Avenue and
Cottage Grove Avenue owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
legally described as follows:
That part of Ogden Avenue lying north of the north line of
Dearborn Avenue and south of the south line of Cottage Grove
Avenue in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
with the City' s retention of a permanent utility easement
over, under and above the following described property:
The east 25 feet of that portion of Ogden Avenue lying north
of the north line of Dearborn Avenue and south of the south
line of Cottage Grove Avenue all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa,
and to sell and convey to Phillip Hamilton a portion of Ogden
Avenue generally located between Dearborn Avenue and Cottage
Grove Avenue, legally described as follows:
The easterly 25 feet of vacated Ogden Avenue lying westerly
of and adjacent to Lots 3 and 8 in Maywood Third Addition in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, with the
City' s retention of a storm sewer easement over the entire
parcel,
for $560. 00, plus costs;
and to sell and convey to Allan D. and Questeen L. Read a portion
of Ogden Avenue generally located between Dearborn Avenue and
Cottage Grove Avenue, legally described as follows:
The westerly 25 feet of vacated Ogden Avenue lying easterly
of and adjacent to Lot 2, Maywood Third Addition in the City
of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
for $280 . 00, plus costs;
and to sell and convey to Robert L. and Della P. Van Nevele a
portion of Ogden Avenue generally located between Dearborn Avenue
and Cottage Grove Avenue, legally described as follows:
The westerly 25 feet of vacated Ogden Avenue lying easterly
of and adjacent to Lot 9, Maywood Third Addition in the City
of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
for $280. 00, plus costs.
