APPLICATION TO THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC
s DEVELOPMENT FOR COMMUNITY ECONOMIC BETTERMENT
a ACCOUNT FUNDING FOR KY RAILQUIP, INC.

" ° El WHEREAS, KY Railquip, Inc. is desiring to start up a
41VIs-ion in Waterloo; and

- VHEREAS, funding assistance is available to cities
(0 through the Iowa Department of Economic Development' s
Community Economic Betterment Account to provide financial
assistance to companies; and

WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo desires to provide
assistance to the company to facilitate the creation of
jobs.

-- -7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Mayor be directed and
authorized to submit an application for Community Economic
Betterment Account Funds to the Iowa Department of Economic
Development to assist the project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of July, 1990 .
