RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN QUIT
CLAIM DEED TO CONVEY REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA.
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Community School District, the
owner of property located at the intersection of South
Barclay and Vine Streets, desires to convey said property to
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and legally described as
follows:
A part of Lot 5 Krapfel' s Subdivision to Waterloo,
Iowa, and vacated Barclay Street South described as
follows: Beginning at the North West corner of Lot 5
Krapfel' s Subdivision; thence Easterly along the South
right-of-way line of Vine Street a distance of
thirty-five ( 35) feet; thence Southwesterly to a point
described as being ten ( 10) feet South and sixteen (16)
feet West of the point of beginning; thence Northerly
along a line sixteen (16) feet from and parallel with
the West line of said Lot 5 a distance of ten (10) feet
to a point on the Southerly right-of-way line of Vine
Street; thence Easterly along the South right-of-way
line of Vine Street a distance of Sixteen ( 16) feet to
the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Quit Claim Deed for the
above described property to convey the same to the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, all of which is situated in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, is hereby accepted and
approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and
directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to
execute all instruments necessary to consummate the
agreement to purchase the property from the owner thereof,
and the deeds for conveyance of the same are also accepted
and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for
the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the
sale from City funds.
