INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF
HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 7 : 00 p.m. on the llth day of June, 1990 , for the purpose
of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate, sell and
convey a portion of Litchfield Avenue owned by the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, to B. Schultz Company and legally described as
follows:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 14 , Township 89, Range 13 West of the 5th P.M. in
Black Hawk County described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 10 Block 2
Litchfield First Addition, thence West along the North line
of said lot 68 . 2 ' , thence North 14. 5 ' thence East 68. 2 '
along a line parallel to the North line of Lot 10 Block 2
Litchfield First Addition, thence South 14. 5 ' to the point
of beginning, all in the city of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa, subject to the City' s retention of a permanent
utility easement over, under and above the Northerly 1 . 5
feet of said parcel,
for $257 . 80, plus costs;
and to vacate, sell and convey to Arlene E. Eilers a portion of
Litchfield Avenue, legally described as follows:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of
Section 14, Township 89, Range 13 West of the 5th P.M. in
Black Hawk County described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 10 Block 2
Litchfield First Addition, thence North 14 . 5 ' along the
westerly line of Columbia Street extended to the point of
beginning, thence continuing north 14. 5 ' on the last
described course, thence west 68. 2 ' along the North
right-of-way of Litchfield Avenue, thence south 14. 5 ' ,
thence east 68 . 2 ' along a line that is parallel to the North
line of Lot 10 Block 2 Litchfield First Addition to the
point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa, subject to the City' s retention of a permanent
utility easement over, under and above the entire parcel,
for $257 . 80, plus costs.
Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of May, 1990 .
