HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-279-05.14.1990 RESOLUTION NO. 1990-279 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels is necessary to carry out the Ridgeway Avenue Reconstruction, Contract No. 383 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the sales from City funds. The subject parcels are: Parcel No. 12 Dennis and Rae Freet, 1426 Meadow Lane Temporary Easement - $100. 00 That part of Lot No. 37 West Ridge Second Addition, Waterloo, Iowa lying North of a line parallel to and 70 feet normally distant South from the North line of the Northeast fractional 1/4 of Section 5, Township 88 North, Range 13 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Contains 240 Sq.Ft. Parcel No. 13 Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, 1307 West Ridgeway Avenue Temporary Easement - $525 . 00 That part of the NE fractional 1/4 of Section 5, Township 88 North, Range 13 , West of the 5th Principal Meridian, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa described as follows: Beginning at a point 828 . 1 feet West and 50 feet South of the Northeast corner of the NE fractional 1/4 of said Section 5, said point being the Northeasterly corner of West Ridge Second Addition, Waterloo, Iowa; thence East parallel to the North line of said Section 5 a distance of 719. 9 feet to the Westerly right of way line of Ansborough Avenue; thence Southeasterly along said Westerly right of way line a distance of 5. 25 feet to a point 55 feet normally distant from the North line of said Section 5; thence West parallel with said North line a distance of 238 . 5 feet; thence South 10 feet; thence West 50 feet; thence North 10 feet; thence West 148 feet; thence Southwesterly 150.75 feet to a point 70 feet normally distant from the North line of said Section 5; thence West Parallel to said North line a distance of 85 . 89 feet to a point 27 feet normally distant from the Northeasterly line of West Ridge Second Addition; thence Southeasterly parallel to said Northeasterly line a distance of 162. 6 feet; thence Southwesterly at right angles a distance of 27 feet to said Northeasterly line; thence Resolution No. 1990-279 Page 2 Northwesterly along said Northeasterly line to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
