HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-262-05.07.1990 RESOLUTION NO. 1990-262 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels is necessary to carry out the Ridgeway Avenue Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 383 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the owners thereof , and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the sales from City funds. The subject parcels are: Parcel No. 4 Alvin & June Hanson, West Ridgeway Avenue Partial Acquisition - $625 . 00 That part of the Southeast one-quarter of the Southwest one-quarter of Section Thirty-three, Township Eight-nine North, Range Thirteen West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of the Southwest one-quarter of said Section Thirty-three; thence North 90°0 ' 0" West along the South line of the Southwest one-quarter of said Section Thirty-three a distance of 695 . 82 feet to the point of beginning; thence North 1°03 ' 40" West a distance of 50 . 01 feet to a line 50 . 00 feet perpendicular distance North of and parallel to the South line of the Southwest one-quarter of said Section Thirty-three; thence West along said line to the West line of the Southeast one-quarter of the Southwest one-quarter of said Section Thirty-three; thence South along said West line to the South line of the Southwest one-quarter of said Section Thirty-three; thence East along said South line to the point of beginning.
