H CH IOWA DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR COMMUNITY
0 0 ECONOMIC BETTERMENT ACCOUNT FUNDING FOR RELOCATION OF A
g DIVISION OF A MAJOR CORPORATION.

WHEREAS, a Fortune 500 Company is desiring to relocate a
division in Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, funding assistance is available to cities through
the Iowa Department of Economic Development' s Community Economic
Betterment Account to provide financial assistance to companies;
and :
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo desires to provide assistance
to the company to facilitate the creation of jobs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Mayor be directed and authorized
to submit an application for Community Economic Betterment
Account Funds to the Iowa Department of Economic Development to
assist the project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of April, 1990.
