HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-216-04.16.1990 RESOLUTION NO. 1990-216 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels is necessary to carry out the Ridgeway Avenue Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 383 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary to the consummation of the sales from City funds. The subject parcels are: Parcel No. 3 Verner & Donna Nelson, Unplatted West Ridgeway Avenue Partial Acquisition - $900 . 00 That part of the southwest one-quarter southwest one-quarter of Section Thirty-Three, Township Eight-Nine North, Range Thirteen, West of the 5th Principal Meridian described as follows: Commencing at the south east corner of said southwest one-quarter Section Thirty-three; thence north 90°0 ' 0" west along the south line of said southwest one-quarter Section Thirty-Three a distance of 1878 . 23 feet; thence north 0°0 ' 0" east a distance of 50. 00 feet to the point of beginning; thence north 0°0 ' 0" east a distance of 70. 00 feet; thence north 90°00" west to the east line of Primary Road No. U.S. 63 as established by condemnation and recorded in Deed Book 475 Page 48; thence south along said east line to a point 50 feet perpendicular distance north of the south line of said SW 1/4 Section 33 ; thence north 90° east to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
