H HE-+ s RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION
s °s vC CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND
o s ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had all the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described
parcels is necessary to carry out the West Ridgeway Avenue
Reconstruction Project, Contract No. 383 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contract for the parcels
hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and
City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in
behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to
consummate the agreement to purchase the properties from the
owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are
also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed
to pay., for the properties and the incidental expenses necessary
to the consummation of the sales from City funds.
The subject parcels are:

Total Acquisition - $1. 00
A parcel of land located in part of the NW Fri 1/4 and the
NE Fri 1/4 of Sec. 5, T88N, R13W of the 5th P.M. , City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, more particularly
described as follows:
Commencing at the NW Corner of the NW Fri 1/4 of said Sec.
5; thence N90°00 'E 640. 0 ft. , along the north line of said
Sec. 5 to the Point of Beginning; thence S00°02 1/2 'W 135. 0
ft. along a line 640. 0 ft. easterly of and parallel to the
west line of said Sec. 5; thence N90°00 'E 339. 9 ft. ; thence
NOO°00 'E 35. 0 ft. ; thence N90°00 'E 600.0 ft. ; thence
S00°00 'W 35. 0 ft. ; thence N90°00 'E 1065. 2 ft. ; thence N89°58
1/2 'E 485. 0 ft. ; thence S40°49 'E 57. 0 ft. ; thence S49°11 'W
100 . 0 ft. ; thence S40°49 'E 48. 0 ft. to a point on the
centerline of West 4th Street; thence N49°11E 428. 2 ft.
along said centerline to a point on the north line of said
Sec. 5; thence S89°58 1/2 'W 802 . 0 ft. along the north line
of said Section 5 to the NW Corner of said NE Fri 1/4 of
said Section 5; thence continuing along said north line
S90°00 'W 2004.9 ft. , to the Point of Beginning, containing
8. 23 acres, more or less, including 4. 06 acres existing
right of way, more or less, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa.
