" WHEREAS, it has been requested that a Traffic Control
cv Removal Study be implemented on the four-way stop sign
! traffic control device at the intersection of West Second
Street and Locust Street, and
L“ WHEREAS, the intersection of West Second Street and
LoCust Street may not warrant a four-way stop sign traffic
control device, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said
removal should be considered.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Planner be and the
samOhereby instructed to proceed with the Traffic Control
Devibe Removal Study at the intersection of West Second
Street and Locust Street which includes:
1 . Determine adequate sight distance.
2 . Warrant analysis for two- and four-way stop signs
including volume counts.
3 . Post signs asking for public comments regarding
removal.
4 . Uncover accident history for the above-referenced
intersection.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of March, 1990, and
approved by the Mayor this 7th day of March, 1990 .
