RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF THE BUILDING
MORATORIUM ON RELOCATED HIGHWAY 218 CORRIDOR FOR
RON SCALLY COLLISION REPAIR AND SALES, 2083
PLYMOUTH AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
WHEREAS, Ron Scally Collision Repair and Sales, 2083
Plymouth Avenue, has requested a waiver of the building
moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor to attach a
sign to the existing building, fence a 40 ' x 90' area in
rear of building and to provide hard surface parking for the
display area, and;
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 5, 1990,
at 7 : 00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo,
Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, on the request to approve the above
mentioned request; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said
waiver of building moratorium on Relocated Highway 218
Corridor be approved, as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the waiver to the building
moratorium on Relocated Highway 218 Corridor, for Ron Scally
Collision Repair and Sales, 2083 Plymouth Avenue, to attach
a sign to the existing building, fence a 40 ' x 90 ' area in
area of building and to provide hard surface parking for the
display area, be and the same is hereby approved, subject to
the following conditions:
( 1) The fence match the building material and color,
and
( 2) The sign conform to the "Highway Corridor"
Ordinance No. 3698.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is
authorized and directed to forward a copy of this resolution
to the Black Hawk County Recorder for recording in order
that this said action may become a matter of official County
Record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 1990.
