RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF
, THE ALLEYS LOCATED BETWEEN WEST TENTH STREET AND WEST
• o MULLAN AVENUE AND BETWEEN WASHINGTON STREET AND BLUFF
STREET TO STATE OF IOWA FOR NO COSTS AND AUTHORIZING

WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real
property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and
WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcel of real
property for no cost, has been made by State of Iowa, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 5 , 1990, at
7 : 00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa,
as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
on the proposal to sell and convey the alleys located between
West Tenth Street and West Mullan Avenue and between Washington
Street and Bluff Street owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to
State of Iowa, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and
conveyance should be made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows:
1 . The following described real property, as fully
described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on
January 19, 1990, is not presently needed and will not be needed
in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its
ownership is serving no municipal purpose.
2 . That the offer of State of Iowa to purchase real
property for no cost be, and it is hereby accepted for property
described below:
The easterly to westerly alley in Blocks 51 , 50, 48 , 19, 20 ,
21, 22 , 23 , 24 and 25 of Original Waterloo (West) and Blocks
1 and 2 of Doe ' s Addition Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
3 . That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said parcel of
real property to State of Iowa by Quit Claim Deed.
4 . That the Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute and deliver a deed to State of Iowa.
5 . That the original of said deed fully executed and
acknowledged is hereby approved and confirmed by the Council.
6 . That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to
deliver said deed of conveyance to State of Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 1990.
