HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-075-02.05.1990 RESOLUTION NO. 1990-75 RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTHWEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF GREENHILL ROAD AND RAINBOW DRIVE AS FEBRUARY 26, 1990, AT 7: 00 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 26th day of February, 1990, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and convey property generally located southwest of the intersection of Greenhill Road and Rainbow Drive owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to the highest bidder, and legally described as follows: All that part of lot 34 and lot 37, Auditor' s Whitney Road Plat, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, lying westerly of Greenhill Road, described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of said Lot 37; thence N 90°00 ' 00" E along the north line of said Lot 37 a distance of 284. 89 feet to a point on the west line of Greenhill Road; thence S 41°35' 35" W along the west line of Greenhill Road a distance of 86.98 feet; thence S 40°01 ' 23" W along the west line of Greenhill Road a distance of 104.39 feet; thence S 24°34 ' 43" W along the west line of Greenhill Road a distance of 204. 36 feet to a point on the south line of said Lot 37; thence S 27°26 ' 10" W along the west line of Greenhill Road a distance of 151. 31 feet to a point on the west line of said Lot 34, said point also being the southeast corner of Lot 13, Woodland Knolls Addition; thence N 00°39 ' 06" W along the west line of said Lot 34 a distance of 133 . 84 feet to the southwest corner of said lot 37 ; thence N 00°40 ' 39" W along the west line of said Lot 37 a distance of 331.32 feet to the point of beginning, subject to the City' s retention of a permanent utility easement located over, under and above the following described property: Beginning at a point on the west line of said Lot 37, which point is 100.35 feet south of the northwest corner of said Lot 37; thence N 37°57' 20" E, 17. 66 feet; thence N 79°20' 29" E, 239. 61 feet to a point on the west line of Greenhill Road; thence S 41°35 ' 35" W along the west line of Greenhill Road a distance of 30. 69 feet; thence S 40°01 ' 23" W along the west line of Greenhill Road a distance of 1. 92 feet; thence S 79°20 ' 29" W, 206. 31 feet; thence S 37°57' 20" W, 35.13 feet to a point on the west line of said Lot 37; thence N 00°40 ' 39" W along the west line of said Lot 37 a distance of 32. 03 feet to the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. The north line of said Lot 37 is assumed to bear N 90° E. Containing approximately 58,096.20 S.F. , 1. 33 acres, including easement. 53 ,109. 98 S.F. , 1.22 acres, without easement. with a minimum bid of $4,650. 00, plus costs.
