RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FUNDING OF A STUDY OF HUMAN
SERVICE NEEDS IN BLACK HAWK COUNTY IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $15, 000. 00.
WHEREAS, the Metro Fund Distribution Coordination
Council is requesting that the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
participate in the funding of a study of human service needs
in Black Hawk County, and
WHEREAS, the Metro Fund Distribution Coordination
Council is a group of organizations that distribute funds
for human service agencies and includes the cities of
Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Evansdale, Black Hawk County, the
Cedar Valley United Way, Waterloo Civic Foundation, the John
Deere Foundation, and various civic organizations and
churches, and
WHEREAS, the Metro Fund Distribution Coordination
Council is proposing that a comprehensive study be conducted
to assess the human service needs in our area and to
develop a systematic mechanism of coordination for the human
service needs in the future, and
WHEREAS, the Metro Fund Distribution Coordination
Council is requesting that the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
participate in funding of said study in an amount not to
exceed $15,000. 00, and
WHEREAS, said study is intended to provide a much
needed tool and valuable information that will assist those
organizations that fund the many agencies that provide human
service programs in our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
participate in the study of human service needs in Black
Hawk County, as conducted by the Metro Fund Distribution
Coordination Council, in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.
