HomeMy WebLinkAbout1990-003-01.02.1990 RESOLUTION NO. 1990-3 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF SIX URBAN RENEWAL LOTS TO HILL BUILDING COMPANY FOR $4 , 550 . 00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A DEED FOR SAME. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcel of real property in the sum of $4, 550. 00, plus costs , has been made by Hill Building Company, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 2, 1990 , at 7: 00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to Hill Building Company, Waterloo, Iowa, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, as follows: 1 . The following described real property, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on December 8, 1989 and December 15, 1989, is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose. 2 . That the offer of Hill Building Company to purchase real property for the sum of $4, 550. 00 be, and it is hereby accepted for property described below: Parcel No. 63 : Lot No. Thirty-four ( 34) in Auditor Rainbow' s replat, Waterloo, Iowa. Parcel No. 67 : Lot No. Twenty-three ( 23 ) in Morris Case Addition to the City of Waterloo, East Side of the Cedar River, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Parcel No. 67A: The Southeasterly Sixty-one ( 61 ) feet of the Northwesterly Sixty-five ( 65 ) feet of Lots Nos. Forty ( 40 ) and Forty-one ( 41) in Morris Case Addition to the City of Waterloo, East Side of the Cedar River, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa. Parcel No. 75 : Lots Nos. Thirty-five ( 35) and Thirty-six ( 36) in Auditor Rainbow' s Logan Avenue and Belt Line Plat, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, subject to easement for driveway purposes over the south Ten ( 10 ) feet thereof. Parcel No. 78 : Lot No. Seven ( 7 ) in Block No. Four ( 4) in "Krapfel and Place ' s Subdivision" in the City of Waterloo, Iowa. Parcel No. 91A: The East Sixty-five ( 65 ) feet of Lot No. Five ( 5 ) in Auditor Rainbow' s Logan Avenue and Belt Line Plat, in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, subject to right of way granted in Town Lot Deed Record 137 , page 493 . Also Lot No. Ten ( 10 ) in Assessor Leland' s Plat No. One ( 1 ) in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, 3 . That all provisions and action of the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, relating to the conveyance and execution of the quit claim deed be and the same hereby affirmed.
