BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA , AS
FOLLOWS :
That the Council of the City of Waterloo , Iowa shall

considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate a portion of
flood control easement locatedh aSt°eetsng edar River for expansionoofcYMCAoowned
wall between W . 4th and WIowa , described as follows :
by the City of Waterloo ,
All that part of Lot 2 , Union Mill Plat , Waterloo , Black Hawk
County , Iowa , lying within the following described boundary :
Beginning at the inward corner of said Lot 2 ,
which corner is described as being 12 feet south-
westerly from the southwesterly line of the Cedar
River as established by the Riverfront Improvement
Commission and on the northwesterly line ofthe89t8racteofe
of
land deeded to the YMCA under date of May 5 ,
north 48° 54 ' east along the line of said Lot 2, which is
the northwesterly line of said original YMCA tract , a
distance of 2 . 28 feet ; thence south 42°40 ' 35" east along
a line which is parallel with the face of the existing
YMCA building a distance of 71 . 89 feet ; thence south 47 °
19 ' 25" west normal to the face of the existing YMCA
Building a distance of 7 . 75 feet to the flood control
easement line as described in Easement Record Book E5 ,
Page 608 ; thence north 41° 10 ' 52" west along said easement
line a distance of 78. 14 feet ; thence north 47° 19 ' 25"
east normal to the face of the existing YMCA Building a
distance of 3 . 71 feet to the line of said Lot 2 which
line is described as 12 feet southwesterly from and
parallel with said southwesterly line of the Cedar River ;
thence south 40°04 ' 21" east a distance of 6 . 16 feet to
the point of beginning.
