HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-592-12.07.1981 Waterloo, Iowa December 7, 1981 The City Council of the City of Waterloo met in regular session at 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall in said City. The meeting was called to order and there were present Leo P. Rooff, Mayor, in the chair, and the following named Councilmen: Getty, Wilharm, Roehr, Dowie , Penaluna, Bowers and Burton. Absent: None * * * * * * * * * The City Council investigated and found that notice of intention to issue not to exceed $500,000 Industrial Revenue Bonds, Series 1981 (Profes- sional Office Services, Inc. Project) of said City had been duly given by publication on November 13, 1981 in The Waterloo Daily Courier, a legal news- paper published and having a general circulation within said City. This being the time and place specified in said notice for the conduct of a public hearing on the proposal to issue said bonds, the Mayor announced that any local resident attending the hearing would now be given an opportunity to express his views for or against the proposal to issue the bonds. After all local residents who appeared at the hearing, who desired to do so, had expressed their views for or against the proposal to issue the bonds, Councilman Bowers intro- duced and caused to read Resolution No. 198 1-5 92 , entitled, RESOLUTION determining to proceed with the issuance of not to exceed $500,000 Industrial Revenue Bonds, Series 1981 (Professional Office Services , Inc. Project) of the City of Waterloo, Iowa and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Wilharm . After due consideration of said resolution by the, Council , the Mayor put the question on the motion and upon the roll being called , the following named Councilmen voted: -2- Aye: Getty, Wilharm, Roehr, Dowie , Penaluna, Bowers and Burton Nay: None Whereupon, the Mayor declared said resolution duly adopted and signed his approval thereto. * * * * * * * * * Upon motion and vote, the meeting adjourned.
