A RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE
OF HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON
THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION
OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED WEST OF
INTERSECTION OF ANKENY AND JOHN STREET
ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF VIRDEN CREEK,
AS OCTOBER 26 , 1981 , AT 7 : 00 P.M . IN
CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS , WATERLOO ,
IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA ,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 - That the Council of the City of Waterloo , Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo ,
Iowa at 7 : 00 P.M. , on the 26th day of October , 1981 , for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and
convey a portion of property generally located west of
intersection of Ankeny and John Street along the east side of
Virden Creek owned by the City of Waterloo , Iowa , with a minimum
bid of $600. 00 and described as follows :
Beginning at a point on the east line of Lot 5 ,
Block 3 Manson ' s 4th Addition a distance of 25 . 5
feet north of the southeast corner of said Lot 5 ;
thence southerly to the Southeast Corner of Lot
10 Block 2 Manson ' s 4th Addition ; thence westerly
to the southwest corner of Lot 9 Block 2 said
Addition , thence northeasterly to the point of
beginning.
An easement will be retained over, under and above
the above described property .
Section 2 - That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
