RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AUTO SALVAGE PERMIT
FOR CHASE AUTO SALVAGE YARD.
WHEREAS, Chase Auto Salvage Yard has proposed that the
Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, approve an Auto Salvage
Permit located south of Mitchell Avenue and east of Sheffield
Avenue and legally described as follows :
Lots 1 thru 14, inclusive in Block No. 111 .
Tracts A, C. and D in Block No. 111 .
That part of Tract B in Block 111
abutting Lots 2 thru 18 in Block No. 111 .
A strip of land 50 feet wide over and across
Blocks 111 and 112, in Riverview Addition to
Waterloo, from Sheffield Avenue to the Mill Race,
excluding all mineral rights on this piece reserved by
the CRI & P RR.
All in Riverview Addition in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa.
Except that part beginning at the most southerly
corner of said Lot D; thence northeasterly along the
southeasterly line of said Lot D to the most easterly
corner of said Lot D; thence northwesterly along the
northeasterly line of said Lots D & C a distance of
88. 6 feet to the northeasterly corner of said Lot C;
thence southwesterly along a straight line to a point
on the southwesterly line of said Lot D which point is
80 feet northwesterly from the most southerly corner of
said Lot D; thence southeasterly to the point of
beginning.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on September 14, 1981 at
7 : 00 P.M. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to approve said above mentioned permit, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said special
permit for an auto salvage permit should be approved as proposed,
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, that the Auto Salvage Permit for Chase Auto Salvage Yard
