RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO
ROY AVIS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA FOR CASTLE HILL DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS, HELEN ROAD CULVERT
REPLACEMENT AND RAILROAD CUT, CONTRACT
NO. 222, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$149,836. 80.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA:
That the bid of Roy Avis Construction Company of Waterloo,
Iowa, in the amount of $149,836 .80, for the construction of the
Waterloo, Iowa, Castle Hill Drainage Improvements , Helen Road
Culvert Replacement and Railroad Cut, (Contract No. 222) ,
described in the plans and specifications heretofore adopted by
this Council for said project, after public hearing on published
notice required by law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being
the lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to execute contract
with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements , said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
Passed and approved, this 8th day of September, 1981.
