A RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF ARCHER AVENUE
LOCATED BETWEEN U.S. HIGHWAY 20 AND COLORADO
STREET, AS SEPTEMBER 28, 1981, AT 7 : 00 P.M.
IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA
AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE
NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 - That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 7 : 00 P.M. , on the 28th day of September, 1981, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and
convey a portion of Archer Avenue located between U.S. Highway 20
and Colorado Street owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, described
as follows:
That portion of sixty (60) foot right-of-way of Archer
Avenue lying east of the right-of-way of Colorado Street
and west of the right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 20, with
the City 's retention of a utility easement across the south
twenty (20) feet of the above described property.
The property contains approximately 4, 573 .5 sq. ft. and
will be sold for $ . 10/sq. ft.
Section 2 - That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
Passed and adopted this 8th day of September, 1981 .
