RESOLUTION EMPLOYING THE FIRM OF CARNEY,
ALEXANDER, MAROLD & COMPANY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, TO PERFORM AN AUDIT OF THE RECORDS
OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO FOR THE PERIOD
OF JULY 1, 1980 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1981.
WHEREAS, Chapter 11; Section 18 of the Code of Iowa requires that
all cities have an audit completed of the financial condition and
transactions for each fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, the Code of Iowa allows cities to employ a certified or
registered public accountant in the State of Iowa and pay for same
from the proper public funds .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the firm of Carney, Alexander, Marold &
Company be employed by the City of Waterloo to conduct a financial
audit for the City of Waterloo for Fiscal Year 1981 .
Passed and adopted this 24th day of August, 1981.
