RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLAN AND
PROGRAM DEPARTMENT TO PROCEED IN THE
PREPARATION OF PLANS RELATING TO
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR THE
WEST SIDE PARKING RAMP EXPANSION .
WHEREAS , the City continues , its efforts to revitalize the Central
Business District (CBD ) , and
WHEREAS , plans are underway to expand the West Side Parking Ramp ,
and
WHEREAS , in conjunction with the ramp expansion , the City is
seeking developers for support retail space.
WHEREAS , a Request for Proposal (RFP ) has been developed which
describes the development program for the Central Business
District , including the West Side Parking Ramp Expansion .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO , IOWA that the Request for Proposal (RFP ) be , and the
same hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that development proposals be solicited
through October 19 , 1981 , with a developer to be selected by the
City Council within thirty ( 30) days of said date.
Passed and adopted this 24th day of August , 1981 .
