RESOLUTION APRROVING THE FINAL PAYMENT
REPORT AND COMPLETION OF AND RECOMMEN-
DATION FOR ACCEPTANCE AS TO WORK AND
MATERIALS FURNISHED BY DENMAN PHILLIPS
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. OF WATERLOO,
IOWA FOR F.Y. 1981 SIDEWALK REPAIR
PROGRAM NO. 2, CONTRACT NO. 224, IN THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, ACCEPTING THE
WORK AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN FULL
ACCORDINGLY.
WHEREAS, Denman Phillips Construction Company, Inc. , Waterloo,
Iowa, have under contract with the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
furnished certain materials and performed labor in connection with
the F.Y. 1981 Sidewalk Repair Program No. 2, Contract No. 224, in
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the Final Payment Report of the City Engineer for the
work performed and materials furnished by the said contractors,
under said contract, is $9,466.30, and
WHEREAS, under the terms of said contract said contractors,
Denman Phillips Construction Company, Inc. is to be paid upon
completion of work and acceptance by City Council, and
WHEREAS, the Completion Report and Recommendation of Acceptance of
City Engineer dated July 20, 1981, certify that the work on this
project has now been completed by said contractors, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA: That
the Final Payment Report and Completion Report and Recommendation
of Acceptance of the Engineers be approved, the work of Denman
Phillips Construction Company, Inc. accepted, that said
contractors, Denman Phillips Construction Company, Inc. , be paid
the sum of S9, 466 . 30, being payment in full in accordance with the

RESOLUTION NO. 1981_378
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF TITLE
TO THE METROPOLITAN TRANSIT AUTHORITY OF
PROPERTY, LAND, BUS BUILDING, AND BUSSES
ASSOCIATED WITH THE METROPOLITAN TRANSIT
AUTHORITY AT 1515 BLACK HAWK STREET.
WHEREAS, the title of certain property and buildings occupied by
the Metropolitan Transit Authority ( 1515 Black Hawk Street) is
titled to the City of Waterloo, and
WHEREAS, Urban Mass Transit Authority (U.M.T.A. ) funds are being
sought for expansion purposes of the facility, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held July 27, 1981 at 7 : 00 P.M. in
the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by
law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal
to convey said premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to
Metropolitan Transit Authority, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and
conveyance should be made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO that title to all property, land, and buildings occupied
by the Metropolitan Transit Authority located at 1515 Black Hawk
Street be transferred to the Metropolitan Transit Authority.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authorization be given for the
formulation of an agreement to facilitate said transfer.
Passed and adopted this 27th day of July, 1981 .
