RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY OF ANNUAL RECERTIFICATIONS
OF ALL RESIDENTS OF RIDGEWAY TOWERS, PROJECT NO. IA-50-3 .
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 26323 dated May 22 , 1979 established
April 1 as the biennial recertification date for the project; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that biennial recertifications
result in a minimum loss of rental income to the project approxi-
mating twelve per cent (12%) per year; and,
WHEREAS, the project has required ever greater federal operating
subsidies to off-set operating deficits ,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. The City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa hereby
establishes a policy of annual recertification for all
residents of Ridgeway Towers, Project No. IA-50-3.
2. In the year 1981 and all future years , the annual recerti-
fication date shall be October 1 with actual work on
recertifications to commence on July 1.
3 . This policy does not preclude interim recertifications
necessitated by increases or decreases in income.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 1981, approved by the
Mayor this 15th day of June, 1981.
