RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH HAWKEYE
VALLEY AREA AGENCY ON AGING FOR THE
PURCHASE OF THE FORMER A&P GROCERY STORE
GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF E .
7TH AND FRANKLIN STREETS , AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT BY MAYOR AND
DEPUTY CITY CLERK, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 162 , 000 . 00 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA ,
that the contract dated June 15 , 1981 for the A&P Grocery Store
generally located at the intersection of E . 7th and Franklin
Streets for use by the Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Aging , of
Waterloo, Iowa , and the City of Waterloo, Iowa , be and the same is
hereby approved , and the Mayor and Deputy City Clerk authorized to
execute the same in behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director be
instructed to deliver a warrant in the amount of $ 162 , 000 . 00 for
the purchase of said property .
Passed and adopted this 15th day of June , 1981 .
