RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF LEHMAN TRUCKING
& EXCAVATING, INC . OF WATERLOO , IOWA FOR F . Y.
1981 FOWLER STREET SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS ,
CONTRACT NO . 216 IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO , IOWA
IN THE AMOUNT OF $59 , 933 . 00.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA :
that the bid of Lehman Trucking & Excavating , Inc . for the F . Y .
1981 Fowler Street Sanitary Sewer Improvements , Contract No. 216 ,
in the City of Waterloo , Iowa , filed with the City Clerk in
accordance with the terms of the published notice calling for
proposals for the construction of the said improvement , be , and
the same is hereby, accepted, the bid of Lehman Trucking &
Excavating, Inc . in the amount of $59 , 933 . 00 , being the lowest
legal bid received on said proposal , and that the contract be
awarded to Lehman Trucking & Excavating , Inc . , and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be , and
they are hereby , authorized , instructed and ordered to enter into
a contract on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa , for the
construction of the said improvement with the said Lehman Trucking
& Excavating, Inc . , but said contract shall not be binding upon
said City until the same has been duly approved by the Council .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other bids for said
improvements be and they are hereby , rejected , and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to return unto the persons
filing the same the certified checks accompanying such rejected
bids .
Passed and adopted this 26th day of May , 1981 .
