RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE CLERK NOT TO PUBLISH
THE NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS NOTIFYING THEM TO
CUT OR DESTROY WEEDS , VINES , OR BUSHES AS
REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 35 (VEGETATION ) ARTICLE II
WEEDS , SECTION 35- 13 OF THE WATERLOO CODE OF
ORDINANCES .
WHEREAS , the City of Waterloo ' s F . Y . 1982 Budget has no
appropriations for the cutting of weeds , vines , etc. and ,
WHEREAS , the City of Waterloo has initiated an alternative
to the Weed Cutting Program whereby summons for uncut weeds are
issued , and
WHEREAS , the Waterloo Code of Ordinances , Chapter 35
( Vegetation ) Article II Weeds , Section 35- 13 requires the Clerk to
publish a notice to property owners notifying them to cut or
destroy weeds , vines , or bushes .
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO that the Clerk be instructed NOT to publish a notice to
property owners notifying them to cut or destroy weeds , vines and
bushes .
Passed and adopted this 18th day of May , 1981 .
