A RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE AND
CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF BALSAM STREET, AS
JUNE 1 , 1981, AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN LINCOLN SCHOOL, W.
PARKER AND BURTON AVENUES AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY
CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 - That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at Lincoln School, W. Parker and Burton Avenues in the
City of Waterloo, Iowa at 7 : 00 P.M. , on the 1st day of June, 1981,
for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell
and convey a portion of Balsam Street owned by the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, described as follows :
That part of Balsam Street described as commencing at the
most northerly corner of Tract "B" Cedar Terrace Third
Addition; thence southeasterly along the northeast line of
said Tract "B" a distance of 28. 43 feet to the point of
beginning; thence southeasterly along a curve concave
northeasterly and having a radius of 329. 33 feet a
distance of 218 . 68 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 28
Cedar Terrace Fourth Addition; thence southerly along the
west line of said Lot 28 a distance of 88. 85 feet; thence
northwesterly along the northeast line of said Tract "B" a
distance of 257. 71 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 6, 668. 76 square feet.
The easterly fifteen (15) feet of the
above-said property is subject to an easement
over, under and above for public utilities .
Section 2 - That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
Passed and adopted this llth day of May, 1981.
